Equity research: Independently conduct extensive fundamental equity research on an assigned universe of securities.
Securities analysis: Demonstrate the ability to build and identify alpha generating investment ideas using both our basic valuation models and secondary techniques.
Security selection: Provide reliable, timely, and convincing buy, sell and hold investment recommendations to portfolio managers on an assigned universe of stocks in a manner consistent with our investment process. Convey recommendations both in written and oral form. Economic and industry analysis: Provide in-depth analysis of relevant industry and economic data used in studying factors influencing companies under study.
Marketing: Instill confidence in third parties by demonstrating a strong understanding of assigned universe.
Leadership: Provide mentoring to less experienced analysts as needed.
Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Preference for MBAs with a finance emphasis and/or Chartered Financial Analysts
3-7 years of relevant experience in equity analysis required
Knowledge of sophisticated investment vehicles, business acumen, analytical, superior judgment with a total rate of return mentality required
Requires working knowledge of computer modeling techniques, strong quantitative financial background, statistics and accounting
Must be a self-starter and demonstrate an understanding of economics and investment theories
Travel as needed and required
